FULL-TIME EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Commencing as soon as possible

 

The Educational Psychologist’s role is a key leadership position working with other members of our educational community towards a common vision for Prairie Spirit School Division. The Educational Psychologist will work closely with, and form an integral part of, a strong Division team providing shared, critical leadership within our education community.

 

The duties will include:

  • Performing educational assessments of students;
  • Administering cognitive assessments and interpreting results;
  • Developing programming and planning with other staff, teachers, and parents;
  • Providing support to school teams in programming for their students.

 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Possess or qualify for a valid Saskatchewan teaching certificate; 
  • Possess a graduate degree in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology, with specific graduate course work in assessing learning, social, or emotional problems and recommending appropriate interventions within an educational setting; 
  • Must have the ability to administer and interpret standardized and restricted assessment tools;  
  • Currently be a member in good standing or be eligible to become a member of the Saskatchewan 
  • College of Psychologists.
